Complexion pigments
The essence comes from Black Cushion’s finely milled colour pigments. The beige cream swatch evokes its thin, satin complexion finish.
Origins and history
HERA was born within Amorepacific in 1995 and built its identity around contemporary Seoul beauty. Translating the city’s fashion, art and individual expression into makeup gave it a broader story than complexion products alone. Base makeup and lip colours developed as parts of the same visual language.
Black Cushion, introduced in 2017, marked a turning point. Research focused on moving the cushion from a convenient touch-up format to a principal foundation step. The 2024 renewal renamed it Black Cushion Foundation and introduced finer pigments, stretchable-layer technology and nine shades.
International growth became another chapter: entry into Japan in 2023 was followed by Thailand in 2024. Black Cushion and Black Foundation receiving Winner distinctions at GLOWPICK’s first-half 2020 awards provides a separate record of consumer-review recognition.
